You were so good to me
I just wish you would stay
Why did you leave me
Please stay another day
I have used the words stay and day because they both rhyme. This poem is really effective because it uses rhyme, some repititon and it really emphasises the use of words in this poem. The peom is emphasising that the person writing the poem is hopefully my future girlfriend.

I love my tallest oldest boy
when he just so young
but when he had to grow up
I wish I had him hung
He was the first, a late one too
On the second of June
He was so sweet when he was one
I wish he’d never bloom.
I written this poem to my mother because she has always was always been there for me when I haven’t wanted her to. When I have not wanted mum to be with me,she has been there for me in times of trouble, of need and of times of despair. My mum loves me, and I love her.

In the beginning of this poem, the boy is unhappy going to a diiferent school than his parents and his brothers and his sisters. After a while, the boy gets used to his difference and gets along with life. I admire this boy because I can relate to him. I use to go to a school for the handicapped, and after I saw that I was different, I just took on life as it came to me. This young boy is an inspiration to others like him because he was different, but now he knows he is different and he lives with it. I have chosen the boys emotion as sad and depressing because that is how I felt when I couldn’t do anything and when everyone wanted to help me. the boy later is happy because he knows that he is different and he wants to live the kind of life his body would like him to live.

Both poems do convey the meaning, but I believe that the song by Paul Mccartney and John Lennon conveys the message more. John Lennon and Paul Mccartney are both part of a famous band called the Beatles, and in the nineteen sixties and nineteen seventies, they were two very famous men who had the whole world at their fingertips. The poem by Engelbert Humperdinck does convey the same message aa Paul mccartney and John Lennon, but Engelbert is not as famous as John and Paul. John and Paul have many fans, and whatever John and Paul wrote, their fans would absolutely love it. Many people are in love with John Lennon and Paul Mccartney, but only a handful of people are in love with Engelbert Humperdinck.

The reason why have drawn this picture is because the poem is talking about the whole room being silent. I have emphasised this with the sh going all along the top of the picture. As the poem later states, there is a man in one corner reading the paper with a cigarette in his mouth and an old lady knitting.

I have chosen this picture because the poems are talking about an old man, travelling and age and the reasons why I have chosen these poems are because they are really intriquette poems. These poems are telling me to find an old man who likes to travel and does not care about peoples age or other differences that are separating them from becoming friends. This man like to travel and he likes the people he meets while he is travelling. The poems that the teachers chose were very challenging to find a picture describing all of the characteristics of all the three poems. This man is telling me that he ready to overcome whoever is in his way. He is telling me that wherever he is in the world, he is ready to face it and hopefully make some friends in the process. He is a man on a mission.

There are many parellels between this picture and this poem. The main parallel in this poem is that the students are all in one group with a student in dark clothes in the middle with his hand up, and the poem is talking about the students coming together to obviously have a campaign about how badly their school has been and how they want their school run. The teachers and/or head principal are disagreeing with what the revolting students want, but obviously the students are not giving up without a fight.
Another big parallel between this picture and this poem is that the students are saying in this poem that they don’t need any education and they are comparing their education to mind control, while in the picture the students are all doing the same thing by clasping their hands above their heads. The students are also one one big massive group, while the poem is talking about leaving kids alone. This part of the poem is obviously talking about the students having a fear of the students and what the students teach to their students is obviously not done in a safe way.
The last parallel that I can see in this poem is that the kids are referring to the teachers as just another brick in the wall. In the picture, the students are all in one group, more than likely supporting their reason for what they believe in. The teachers obviously do not like what the students are doing to their school morale. The students are debating against their teachers and heads of school because they believe in what they say and do. The students and the teachers are not having a good time fighting with the students, while the students are happy because the teachers are not teaching them anything.

In this poem, teenagers are represented in a way that most people see teenagers. In the first poem, teenage girls are depicted with very long hair piled up with their hair changing as the seasons go by, always talking about other people and how they dress, and how old people are and what they wear.
In the second poem, teenagers are depicted as a wild crazy bunch of kids who have no idea what they are getting themselves into. The poem predicts that teenagers are lazy, not into what other people are into, only interested in what is new and what is ‘in’ and when the going gets tough, they get going. The author states that he would like to be a teenager because they get away with so many things. The author is telling us that teenagers are the kind of people that are not patient enough to wait in a line for a long time, are very selfish and are not a very happy group of people.
In the third and last poem the author is trying to state that in the nineteen hundreds that people chose respectable modest clothing and, unlike today, teenagers had modest choice of clothing. The author is comparing the nineteenth centuries shirt, dresses and modest footwear to today’s shirt, no dresses and open footwear. The author is trying to state that yesterday’s clothing wear is starting to be outdated by todays clothing and footwear.
In all the three poems, the authors are stating that there has been a massive change in the way we wore our clothes in the nineteen hundreds to todays shocking way that mainly the female clothing has changed dramatically in a couple of decades. The authors are obviously loving and hating this change.

I have chosen these three pictures for my poem because they all relate to the poem and they also emphasise that the main character was in a race and won.
I have chosen the picture of Charlie and Lola to go first because they will appeal to the young reader.Charlie and Lola and very well known characters throughout television for displaying moral behaiours that children face everyday and parents will know that their child is benifiting from this picture.
I have chosen the picture of a man crossing the finishing line second because the poem clearly states that the main character has crossed the finish line first and is really proud of his achievements. He is obviously wanting this win for a long time.
I have chosen a picture of a man standing with his hands outstretched to the sky as my third and final image because when people win something they usually put their hands up in the air.

3f eulogy
This person was really good
he did the best that he could
he ws just so kind
he was smart in his mind
he was strong just because he withstood.
I have used the prefixes -ood and -ind because there are so many words in the english language that have those prefixes. I have used the first line as this person was really good because you have no idea who just died, so I am not trying to favour men or women. I have also used this sentence to explain this person did well in his life. I have chosen as my second line as he did the best that he could because it states that this person has tried their hardest through all their turmoils and throughout their life they have strived for excellence. I have chosen lines three and four to be he was just so kind he was smart in his mind because many people do not realise that they are smart until they are about forty. I have chosen the last line ashe was strong just because he withstood so that the relatives of the deceased know that they leave the deceased man with happiness for his achievements.
